Day One
8:30am - 4pm

Pattern Bars & Layered Dichro
Discussion about pattern bars, samples of bars/slices/plates, demo strip cutting technique with Morton board. How to prep different types of molds used to create pattern bars and proper set up in the kiln. Show random stack-up and how the glass slumps to make curves in voids, volume control with strips that are laid straight up and down or stacked to fall into larger dam. How to use zuper glue to hold glass in place. Create box with glass, liquid fusing adhesive to hold frit in place. Cutting glass and creating pattern bars 4” long
Creating layered dichroic tiles will be started in the afternoon.
All projects will be fired overnight.

Day Two
8:30am - 2pm
Slumpy's doors will remain open till 4pm, so feel free to hang out!

Frit Painting! Pattern Bars & Layered Dichro (cont.)
Demo cutting pattern bars; students will take turns using saws to cut slices from their fused pattern bar. Cutting layered dichro tiles into cabochon size pieces. Demonstration on cutting tools on how to cut custom shapes and more exact pieces. How to attach jewelry bails with NO Days BailBond and heat gun. Frit Painting techniques for using NO Days Liquid Fusing Adhesive and present patterns to create frit painted elements for plate.
