"Hang Your Glass" Adhesive Instructions

“Hang Your Glass” adhesive set contains an activator with eyedropper, adhesive, and 100% acetone cleaner. Product sets in 5-10 minutes and completely cures in 48-72 hours. Adhesive works with all “Hang Your Glass” products (Knob Backs, Knob Shafts, Drawer Pulls). Product is recommended for applications with at least 1/2” surface area. Works on both flat glass surface and textured surfaces less than .5mm. Use with pieces indoors or outdoors. Can withstand temperatures from freezing cold to the hottest day. Product will not become weak or brittle over time.

To Apply

Thoroughly clean both surfaces that are to be bonded using 100% acetone cleaner. Metal parts may need multiple cleanings. Use the eyedropper to completely cover both surfaces to be bonded with activator. Activator will form to a thin wet film within 3-5 minutes. DO NOT touch activator. Apply adhesive in the center of the backing. Minimum surface area required is .5”. Bond will set in 5-10 minutes. The pieces will cure in 48-72 hours. After the piece has set, use the solvent to clean up remaining activator and conder around backing.

To Remove

After adhesive has cured to glass, remove by placing piece in kiln and heating to 400°F. Adhesive will return to its viscous state and may be easilly detached. Once piece has cooled to room temperature, scrape off remaining adhesive on glass and shaft using a flat head screwdriver. Before you reapply, be sure to thoroughly re-clean with the 100% acetone cleaner.

NOTES: Harmful if swallowed or inhaled. Flammable liquids. Do not use near heat, spark, or flame. Wear eye protection and gloves when handling. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Store between 46° to 82°.
