I have always been mesmerized by glass. Growing up in a Victorian house with stained-glass windows, I marveled at how glass alters light, with multi-colored sun puddles filling my childhood spaces. It was those memories that drew me to later work in stained-glass. As a science major, I love the liquid qualities of a medium we think of as a solid. Through my experience as a potter, I appreciate the alchemical effects of heat on both clay and glazes (glass).
